Phillip R. Shaver
Distinguished Professor of Psychology at the University of California, Davis. He conducts research in two areas: close relationships and emotions. Currently, he is extending this work to the study of attachment-style differences in defenses or coping strategies, and in couple communication.
James A. (Jim) Coan
Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology, is Director of the Virginia Affective Neuroscience Laboratory, and faculty adviser to the Neuroscience Graduate Program at the University of Virginia. Jon G. Allen
Professor of Psychiatry in the Menninger Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Baylor College of Medicine, where he holds the Helen Malsin Palley Chair. He is also Senior Staff Psychologist at the Menninger Clinic, Houston TX.
Susan (Sue) Johnson
One of the creators of Emotionally Focused Therapy or EFT. Dr. Johnson is the Director of both International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT) and the Ottawa Couple and Family Institute Inc. She is also Professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Ottawa and a Research Professor in the Marital & Family Therapy Program at Alliant University in San Diego.
Daniel J. Siegel
Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the UCLA School of Medicine, is also on the faculty of the Center for Culture, Brain, and Development and the Co-Director of the Mindful Awareness Research Center at UCLA. An award-winning educator, he is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and recipient of several other honorary fellowships. Dr. Siegel is also the Executive Director of the Mindsight Institute.
